Polaroid 220 Automatic Land Camera

The 220 sits at the midpoint of Polaroid's 200-series — better specified than the entry models, with a three-element 114mm f/8.8 Zeiss-Ikon Colour-Skopar lens that Polaroid used to justify the premium. It's a meaningful difference. The surviving prints from 220s are noticeably sharper than what came off the plastic-lens models. Made from 1967 to 1969.

Type 80-series pack film stopped production in 2016. This is a display piece now — the bellows mechanism, the Zeiss glass, the grey leatherette body are all in good condition, but the film they were designed for no longer exists. The period flash unit — blue-coated reflector bowl, sync cable attached — came with the camera and stayed with it.

The strap is present. The body has minor age-appropriate wear; bellows appear intact with no visible splits.

Condition: Untested, sold as-is. Included: Camera with period flash unit (blue-coated reflector bowl, sync cable attached) and strap. Price: $15 CAD. Pickup preferred; shipping available.
The Zeiss-Ikon lens is the detail that separates the 220 from the rest of the 200-series.
